Someswara temple, also called Somarama temple, located at Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh, is one of the Pancharama Kshetras in the west Godavari region.
The temple built around 3rd century CE by King Bhimeswara received patronage later from Eastern Chalukyas and Vijayanagara kings.
Specialities of this temple include (1) Goddess Annapurna deity is positioned directly above the Someswara Garbhagriha and (2) The Shiv linga is said to keep changing its colors according to lunar cycles – becoming lighter towards Pournami and darker towards Amavasya.
The big tank in front of the temple is called Somagundam.
