Dochula is a mountain pass located 22 km east of Thimphu, Bhutan, at an elevation of 3,100 m (10,300 feet).
In the year 2004, 108 memorial chortens or stupas were built on top of the hillock by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk, the Queen Mother of Bhutan.
The hillock also holds the Druk Wangyal Lhakhang (Temple) built in honour of the fourth king of Bhuta, Jigme Singye Wangchuck.
Dochula also has the country’s first Royal Botanical Park.
