Kalamegha Perumal Temple, Thirumogoor, Tamilnadu is located 12 km east of Madurai.
Being one of the 108 Vaishnava Divya Desams, this ancient Temple is celebrated in the hymns of Nammazhvar and Thirumangai Alvar.
The origin of the Temple is linked to the Mohini avatar. The current structure built by Pandyas in 11th century CE was renovated and expanded by Nayaks later.
The Temple is replete with tall mandapams, ornamented pillars, carvings, and sculptures, with a rare square vimana, and Kshirabdi Pushkarini (Temple tank).
The famous Chakrathazhvar Sannidhi here has Sudarshana in front and Narasimha behind.
