Phobjikha Valley is a vast U-shaped valley in central Bhutan, located 130 km east of Thimphu, at an average altitude of 3,000 meters (10,000 feet).
The graceful black-necked cranes visit the valley from higher Tibetan plains during the winter. The vast and expansive valley with its streams, rivulets and marshland is a scenic splendour!
With the protected area extending to 163 Sq Kms managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Nature (RSPN), the valley is also home to wild boars, leopards and the red foxes.
A wonderful, breath-taking, serene place!
