Baggavalli Yoga Narasimha temple is located 60 km south-east of Shivamogga (Shimoga), Karnataka.
This Hoysala era temple built in 1239 CE houses the Keshava deity that’s 5 feet in height. The temple is star shaped; consists of garbhagruha, sukhanasi and Navaranga with decorated pillars.
No two pillars of the 20+ pillars look the same.
One could visit Hoysala temples of Amruthapura and Hirenallur while visiting Baggavalli.
