Vallimalai Thirupugazh Ashram is located in Vallimalai, 27 km north-east of Vellore, Tamilnadu.
Valli was born on Valli Malai and brought up by king Nambi Raja. Valli grew up here, and got married to Muruga.
The natural rock formation like an elephant is attributed to Lord Ganesa who helped Muruga on his marriage to Valli.
Sri Sachchidhanandha Swami’s Jeeva Samadhi also is here.
It’s a 30-minute walk from the Sri Muruga temple (at the top) to the Ashram.
