Kakkabe, located 34 km south-west of Madikeri, Karnataka houses the temple of Paadi Igguthappa, an important deity of Kodagu.
Igguthappa is known as the lord of rains and crops ; He’s also a Maha Guru for people of Kodagu.
The temple built in Kerala style of architecture, located atop a hill in a forested area, has been in existence since 1153 CE, renovated last in 2008.
A serene place!
Nalknad palace is nearby and could be combined with the visit to Igguthappa temple.
