Pandavar malai jain cave is located 28 kms south-east of Vellore, Tamilnadu.
Carved in 740 CE during Pallava times, this east-facing cave excavated at the foot of a large hillock has 7 distinct openings outward, and 12 pillars in 2 rows inside.
2 inscriptions have been found from the place – one of Pallava king Nandivarman, and the other of Chola king Rajaraja Chola.
Pandavas are said to have visited and stayed in this place in ancient times.
