Nemam Soleeswarar (Siva) temple located 15 km north-west of Karaikudi is a 1000+ year old marvel built during Chola times.

The temple is a treasure trove of sculptures and carvings with richly ornamented pillars and lofty praakaarams (passage ways).

This temple also contains 125 sculptures of exceptional beauty, of which some are rare – not found elsewhere.

Set on serene and calm surroundings, the temple has an impressive water tank on its side.
