Kundadri Hill

Kundadri

Kundadri hill, Karnataka, located 18 Km north-east of Agumbe and 32 km south-west of Thirthahalli in the western ghats has the Jain temple dedicated to Parshwanatha, the 23rd Thirthankara.

A Jain sage by the name Kunda Acharya used to stay here 2000 years ago, hence the name Kundadri (Kunda’s hill).

One could drive up the hill. The 17th century Jain temple is in good shape. Couple of ponds at the top provide fresh water.

Kundadri offers mesmerising 360 degree views all around – Hills, valleys, dense jungles, backwaters of Mani reservoir, Sringeri hills, Agumbe hills and more…
