Sahasralinga is located 14 km north of Sirsi, Karnataka.
The lingas and nandis (bull) are carved on the rocks in river Shalmala.
It is said to have been carved in late 17th century CE under the patronage of Sirsi king Sadashivaraya (1678-1718).
There’s a hanging bridge nearby across the river.
