Anegundi – Rama Paadam

Chintamani Rama Paadam is located in Anegundi, across the river from Hampi, on the north bank of Tungabhadra river.

Located near to the Mukti Narasimha temple, the Rama Paadam is the place from where Sri Rama is said to have shot the arrow killing Vali.

The cave behind Rama Paadam is said to be the place where Sugriva met Sri Rama and prepared for the fight with Vali.

Mukti Narasimha Temple, Devi Temple, Chintamani Shiva Temple, and Samadhi mantap of Sri Krishnadevaraya are nearby.

    1. Good day! Chintamani Rama Paadam is located in Anegundi, across the Thungabhadra river from Hampi (on the other side of the river).

      It’s located in the vicinity of Sri Krishnadevaraya’s Samadhi Mantap, near to the Mukti Narasimha temple – This is not the Narasimha temple of Hampi.
