Chandranatha Swamy Basadi at Dharmasthala is situated 600 meters south of Manjunatha Swamy temple, Shri Kshetra Dhrmasthala, Karnataka.
It was founded by Birmanna Pergade, the Jain Chieftain of Nelyadi Beedu more than 800 years ago. Renovated recently, the Basadi is one of the most revered and celebrated Digambara shrines in South India.
It’s located on a small mound adjacent to Nelyadi Beedu; Nelyadi Beedu is more than 800 years old and well preserved.
