Located 4 km north-west of Dharmasthala, Sri Rama temple at Kanyadi, Karnataka is built in recent times.
The 3 storied colourful temple is dedicated to Pattabhi Rama along with 36 other deities.
Number 9 is connected with this temple in many ways – The gopuram’s height is 126 feet (1+2+6); there are 54 steps (5+4) to reach first floor and 54 steps (5+4) for the second floor, totalling 108 steps (1+8); there are 36 deities (3+6), there are three chariots – Brahmaratha of 72 feet (7+2), Hanumanta ratha of 36 feet (3+6) and silver chariot of 18 feet (1+8).
