Jurahareswarar Temple, Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu, is located 500 meters south of Sri Ekambareshwarar Temple.
Originally built by the Pallava King Narasimhavarman II in the early 8th century CE, it was renovated and expanded later by Cholas (10th to 12th century CE) and Vijayanagara kings (15th / 16th century CE).
With its rare architectural signature of circular Garbhagriha (Gajaprastha style), the Temple is ornamented beautifully with carved pillars and intricate sculptures. The temple walls are enriched with masterfully crafted stone windows and niches.
One of Kanchipuram’s most distinct architectural marvels!
