Bhadrakali Temple located in Warangal, Telengana, is one of the oldest temples for Goddess Bhadrakali.
Built in the year 625 CE by Pulakeshin II of Chalukya dynasty, the temple has a deity in sitting position that is 2.7 meter tall!
Kakatiya kings continued their patronage and created a beautiful lake adjacent to the temple. Following the fall of Kakatiyas the temple lost its prominence and remained in ruins until renovation in the year 1950 CE.
