Urachikottai Temple is located on top of a free-standing hill, 4 km north of Bhavani, Tamilnadu, on the banks of river Kaveri.
A stone-paved zig-zag walkway with a few intermittent steps takes us up the hill. The climb is moderate; one could provide for 40+ minutes for it – the unique stone-paved walkway makes the climb easier.
Vedagirishwarar Shiva temple is located mid-way. Vedanarayana Perumal temple is located at the top.
The views through the climb and from the top are spectacular!
