Anjaneya Temple, Namakkal (Namagiri), is located 57 km south of Salem, Tamil Nadu.
The Deity of Anjaneya is 18 feet tall, carved out of a single stone block. The temple is said to be existing here since 5th century CE.
The history of the temple is associated with Narasimha swamy who appeared here for Anjaneya and Mahalakshmi. The Narasimha swamy temple is nearby at the foot of Namagiri hill.
The temple has a pillared hall leading to the Garbha griha. There is no roof over the Deity / Garbha griha.
