The Soumyakeshava temple, Nagamangala, Karnataka is located 17 km south of Bellur Cross, and 51 km north of Srirangapatna.
Built in 12th century CE by the Hoysala kings, the temple was expanded and renovated later by Vijayanagara kings. They added the entrance Gopura and boundary walls.
The Trikutachala (three shrined) temple that sits on Jagati (raised platform), has Garbhagriha (sanctum), Sukhanasi (vestibule), Navaranga (inner hall), and Maha mantapa (pillared gathering hall) – typical of Hoysala temples.
