Mukkanteeswara temple, Kalavagunta, Andhra Pradesh is located 9 km north-east of Chittoor.
The temple was built in 9th century CE by Chola kings on the banks of river Bahuda.
The Gopuram at the entrance, tall mantapas with carved pillars, and the Garbha griha demonstrates the artistic and architectural prowess of Cholas.
The barrage on river Bahuda is just across the road.
