The Church of Our Lady of Rosary built in 1547 CE is the oldest standing church in Goa. It’s located 10 km east of Panaji, Goa, at a walking distance from Basilica of Bom Jesus.
The medieval architecture presents features of classic Gothic style design and construction elements. The main altar is dedicated to Our Lady of Rosary.
The church bears an inscription of 1510 CE by Afonso de Albuquerque.
It’s on top of a hill (Monte Santo), offering beautiful views of river Mandovi and Divar island.
