Sri Vairavar Swamy Temple, Vairavanpatti, Tamilnadu is located 17 km north-west of Karaikudi. This is one of the ashta bairava sthalams.
The temple, originally established in 9th century CE, was renovated in 16th century CE by Nagarathars.
The sculpturing and carvings here are elaborate and intricate – especially the scultures of ‘soldier with the horse’ and ‘Kannappa Nayanar’.
