Narasimha Temple at Thondanur is located 36 km west of Mandya and 38 km north of Mysore, Karnataka, on the slopes of Yadugiri hill.
The deity of Narasimha is said to have been installed by Prahlada in Tretha Yuga – millions of years ago.
The deity of Ramanujacharya also is found here; kept alongside is the basket that was being used by Ramanujacharya 950 years ago! (sorry, photography not allowed inside!).
A place where time stands still!
The hillock offers beautiful views of Thondanur lake and surrounding areas.
