Cairn Hill Eco-tourism walking trail – located 5 kms south-west of Ooty, on the Avalanche road – provides a refreshing forest walk amidst towering pine trees!
It’s tucked away from noises and pollution by ~ 300 meters inside from the main road.
The walking trail is 1.5 km long circular loop, with a watch tower in-between, providing beautiful views of forests, hills and Muthorai valley.
This reserved forest, covering more than 400 acres, is said to be planted in 1860s.
The walking trail and facilities are maintained by Tamilnadu Forest Dept.
