Maruthamalai Subramanya Swami Temple is located 14 km north-west of Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. It was built in 12th century CE.
The name ‘marutham’ is derived from the native trees marutha maram present in the hill where the temple is situated.
Steps on the Southern side of the temple takes us to Pambatti Siddhar cave. Pambatti Siddhar was one of the 18 siddhars, who lived in 12th century CE.
The views from the temple are picturesque!
