Louvre Museum located in Paris, France, was once the palace of kings. Originally built as a fort in 13th century by Philip II, it was modified, extended and converted into a palace by subsequent kings.
One of the largest and most visited museums of the world, the museum has 380,000 objects and 35,000 works of art on display over an area of 8 lakh square feet.
Amongst the major attractions are Mona Lisa by Da Vinci and the palace rooms used by Napolean.
