Malampuzha Dam is located 7 km north of Palakkad, Kerala.
It’s one of the largest dams in Kerala, built in 1955.
Situated at the foot of scenic hills of the Western Ghats it is a combination of a masonry dam (1,849 metres) and an earthen dam (220 metres) making it the longest dam in the State.
The dam is well known for its beautiful Gardens, Parks, Boating facilities, Rock garden, Aquarium, Snake park, Ropeway and the gigantic Yakshi (an enchantress), a sculture by Kanai Kunhiraman.
