Kolaramma temple located in Kolar, Karnataka is built in Dravida Vimana Style dating to Ganga period (3rd – 11th Century CE).
Later, Cholas and Vijayanagara kings renovated and expanded the temple in the 11th Century and 15th Century, respectively.
Several inscriptions are available in the temple in Tamil and Kannada starting from year 1012 CE.
Someshwara temple, built in 11th century CE, is a short-walk away.
