Hogenakal Falls is situated 50 kms west of Dharmapuri, Tamilnadu. It’s 127 km south of Bengaluru via Denkanikottai – Anchetty, which is a scenic route.
River Cauvery enters Tamil Nadu (from Karnataka) here. The name Hogenakal is derived from Kannada meaning ‘Smoky Rocks’.
Hogenakal can be visited all through the year. Multiple viewing decks are available to enjoy amazing views and gust of water through the rocks.
Coracle rides are available that takes one in-between the rocks, with waterfalls on both sides.
