Arvalem caves are located 32 km east of Panaji, Goa.
Also known as the Pandava caves, these ancient rock cut caves are technically traced back to 7th century BCE. It is believed that Pandavas of Mahabharata times spent time here during their exile.
The caves consist of five hollowed rock-cut caves in granite.
Set in lovely surroundings, Arvalem waterfall that cascades 50 meters, is a short-walk away from the caves. Rudreshwar temple on the banks of Cudnem river is another attraction at the falls.
