Wai-o-tapu (Māori for sacred waters) Is located 30 km south of Rotorua, North Island, New Zealand.
An active geothermal area, it covers 18 sq kms, which can be viewed by following the walk-ways.
Due to dramatic geothermal conditions beneath, the area has many hot springs known for their colourful appearances – such as Champagne Pool, Artist’s Palette, Primrose Terrace.
Lady Knox Geyser is a key attraction that comes live at 10.15am everyday. This unique geyser can reach up to 20 meter height.
