St. George Forane Church, Edathua is located 27 km south-east of Alappuzha, Kerala, on the banks of a branch of Pamba river.
Built in 1810 CE, it is one of the prime places of worship in the backwater district resembling the churches of medieval Europe.
Annual feast (Edathua Perunnal) held in the month of May is a major festival that attracts believers from different parts of the country.
