Athangudi Palace is located 14 km north of Karaikudi, Tamilnadu.
This famous Chettinad Palace was built in 1912 by Dr. Annamalai Chettiyar, founder of Indian Bank and the Annamalai University in Chidambaram.
It’s an outstanding example of the Chettinad architecture; most of the materials, decorative items and furnishings were sourced from East Asian countries and Europe.
