Yelagiri is located 24 km south of Vaniyambadi, and 70 km east of Krishnagiri, Tamilnadu.
Yelagiri Thayar Samedha Sri Kalyana Venkataramana Perumal temple is located in sylvan surroundings, overseeing a valley.
Built in 2011, the temple has a few more shrines including Ramanujar, Manavala Mamunigal and Anjaneyar.
It is said an ancient temple existed here centuries ago, and an ancient deity of Adi Kesava Perumal along with some lamps were excavated here while constructing the current temple.
