Shoolagiri Dam -

Shoolagiri Dam, Tamilnadu, is located 28 km south-east of Hosur.

Shoolagiri (Thrishula / Trident hill) derives its name from the 3 adjacent hills that look like a Thrishula / Trident from a distance.

Built in 1985 on river Ponniar, this earth dam is 415 meters long, 25 meters tall, with a catchment area of 143 km².

The Dam, set in a perfect country-side setting flanked by lush green hills and farm lands, offers a great escape for citi-dwellers.
