Male Mahadeswara temple, MM Hills, Karnataka, is located 211 km south of Bengaluru, at 3,000 feet above MSL.
Built in 15th century CE by Junje Gowda, the temple is known for folklores, Jatras (festivals) and the song and dance routine called Kamsale.
Sage Mahadeswara, a Siddha, is said to have lived here 600 years ago practicing medicine and serving people in and around the seven hills.
Drive up the hill is scenic and tranquil!
