The Ashtabhujakara Perumal Temple, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu is located 2 km west of Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple.
A revered Divya Desam dedicated to Vishnu, the temple is built by Pallava kings in early 8th century CE.
Constructed in the classical Dravidian style, the Temple was renovated and expanded over time by Cholas and Vijayanagara kings.
It’s believed that Gajendra Moksham happened here.
A unique feature of this Temple is both the Rajagopuram and Paramapadavasal (Swargavasal) face the same direction.
