Ponnambalawaneswaram Temple, Colombo, Sri Lanka is located near the Port of Colombo.
Built by a businessman Ponnambalam Mudaliyar as a small Temple in 1857, it was later expanded into a grand Dravidian style Temple in 1905 by his son Ponnambalam Ramanathan.
This Temple is one of the few solid granite Temples in existence in Sri Lanka. The temple has tall corridors with highly decorated granite pillars, replete with exquisite carvings and sculpturing.
