Chennakeshava Temple, Channarayapattana, Karnataka is located 38 km east of Hassan and 146 km west of Bengaluru.
The Hoysala temple was built during the 11th Century CE. Though simple in its external architectural features, the temple has intricate features as in a Hoysala temple.
It was a famous temple of Kotalur (earlier name of Channaraya pattana) in those times.
