Appanapalli

Appanapalli bala Balaji temple is Located 74 km south of Rajahmundry and 56 km east of Bhimavaram, in east Godavari, Andhra Pradesh.

Situated on the banks of river Vynateya in Konaseema region, the village Appanapalli derived its name after a Rushi called Appana who meditated here. Another version is that in ancient times king Jeemuthavahana offered his life to Garuda as Arpana at this place and hence the name Arpanapalli which in due course became Appanapalli.

The current temple was built recently in 1970s in accordance with the Panchahnika Agama Sastra. The Vimana is a bit peculiar here with lifelike sculptures adorning it.
