Ainavilli

Ainavilli Siddhi Vinayaka temple, located 56 km south-east of Rajahmundry and 12 km north of Amalapuram, Andhra Pradesh, is an ancient one, believed to be existing since Kruthayuga.

The temple was renovated by Eastern Chalukya kings in 10th Century CE and later by Peddapuram Rulers. The temple is referred to in literary works of 14th Century CE in which a Sarva Ganapathy Maha Yagna is said to have been performed here in 1320 CE.

Interestingly the Vinayaka deity is facing south in this temple.

Set in the midst of lush green fields on the banks of river Godavari in the Konaseema region, Ainavilli is serene!
