Niagara falls is located 20 miles north of Buffalo, NY, USA.
Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls at the southern end of Niagara Gorge, bordering Canada and the USA, draining waters from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario.
The largest of the three falls, Horseshoe Falls, is about 790 meters wide, with a peak flow of 6400 m3 of water per second.
Both USA and Canada generate hydro power at the falls with a combined 4,900 MW of installed capacity.
