Kadri Manjunatha Temple is located in Mangaluru, Karnataka.
Parashurama is said to have consecrated this ancient temple. The current structure, built in 10th century CE, was renovated and modified during 14th century CE.
The Panchlauha (5 metals) idol of Lokeshwar, that’s about 5 feet tall, is one of the oldest amongst the South Indian temples.
The temple has inscriptions right from the year 968 CE.
A natural spring called Gomukha is located behind the temple.
