Krishnai temple – situated ~ 6 km from Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra – is built in 13th century AD in Hemadpanti style.
Overlooking Krishna valley, the temple has a Shiv lingam, statue of river Krishna (where river Krishna is worshipped) and stone carved columns and ceilings. The Rudraksha and Damru which are in the temple are said to be more than 300 years old.
Views from here are breath-taking. It provides exquisite views of river Krishna, Balakwadi Dam, Dhom lake and the valleys.
The Panchganga Temple located nearby is said to be 4500 years old and is at the convergence of five rivers – Krishna, Venna, Savitri, Koyna and Gayatri – originating from Mahabaleshwar.
