Nanneshwara temple, Lakkundi, Karnataka is located 12 km south-east of Gadag.
This highly ornate temple was built in mid-11th century CE by western Chalukyas, and is just across the street from the Kashi Vishweshwara Temple.
The temple is replete with Garbhagriha, Antarala, Maha Mandapa and open Mandapa with ornamented pillars. The temple sits on Jagati (a raised platform).
A 1000 year old wonder!
