Kanchipuram – Kumarakottam Murugan

Kumarakottam Murugan Temple, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu is located next to Sri Kamakshi Amman Temple.

The ancient structure built by Pallavas in 9^th century CE was renovated and modified by Cholas (11^th to 13^th century CE) and Vijayanagara kings (16^th century CE).

The Temple is famously the site where the scholar Kachiappa Sivachariyar composed the Kanda Puranam in 11^th century CE.

The Temple features mandapams with ornamented pillars and sculptures.
