Sri Yoga Ramachandra Swamy Temple, Padavedu, Tamilnadu, is located 26 km north of Polur, and 40 km south of Vellore.
This 12th century CE Temple has Sri Rama depicted in a meditative posture with chin mudra. The Temple lay buried and was excavated in recent times.
The Chola Temple was renovated and expanded during Vijayanagara times. The inscriptions found here indicate the Temple had the patronage of Vijayanagara kings.
The Temple is currently being maintained by TVS group.

Padavedu is a calm, serene, scenic place located on the banks of river Kamandala, encircled by Jawadu hills. In ancient times, Rishi Jamadagni and Renukamabal resided here, and it’s the birth place of Sri Parasurama. Padavedu was the capital of Sambuvarayar chieftains. During Chola and Vijayanagara times, Padavedu used to be an important military camp. It’s home to many ancient Temples.
