Railway Museum, Mysuru, Karnataka was established in the year 1979 by Indian Railways.
The museum has a captivating display of locomotives, equipment, and photographs depicting different stages in the development of Indian Railways.
Sri Ranga Pavilion has two royal coaches that belonged to the Maharaja of Mysore (year 1899 CE). Other prominent exhibits include an Austin Railway Car, the very first steam engine built in India, signalling systems, hand operated crane, ticketing machines, and the like.
